This town has gone insane. Case in point: I want to get my hair done for Stacy and Kelly's reception party tomorrow. So, I start asking around about up-do's. The first place I walked into saw a conversation that went something like this:

Me: How much is an up-do?
Asian Stylist who really shouldn't have dyed her hair blonde: 85 to 90 dollars.
Me: <staring>

Jesus H. Do I get a blow-job with that??

Several other places I called gave me similar answers. Good Lord. I'm sorry, but that's too damn much to spend for a hair style that will only last one night.

I finally found a place that starts at $40, which was about what I expected, but I have to go all the way to NW Hwy and Preston for that. This is just riduculous.

The movers came today and all of Matt's stuff has been loaded on to a truck. Actually, that would be all of Matt's stuff that he actually wanted to move to Vancouver. The rest of it is still here. I keep finding things stashed in closets and in cabinets. It's kind of like hunting easter eggs when I was a kid. What will I find next?

I need to venture out to the grocery store and go buy some liquor for tomorrow. I haven't decided exactly what I'm going to take (SMU tailgate), but I do know I want to make some snowplowers to ward off the cold. That would be hot chocolate with peppermint schnapps. Yummy in my tummy. Just thinking about it makes me happier. I was thinking I might also make some kind of martini something. Much as I like my bourbon and ginger, I need to take it a bit easy since I have events to attend tomorrow night. I promised Stacy I wouldn't show up loaded, but she did say I could leave that way.
