I'm going to rename my cat. Her new name is Barfy. Barfy the cat. It's getting ridiculous. It all started a few weeks ago when I had to put her on antibiotics. After a few days, she started barfing everywhere. Unfortunately, she's still do it. Why is it always in the middle of night? It always forces me out of my nice warm bed because I get paranoid she's barfed on my couch. On the bright side, I've never been happier to have hardwood and tile floors.

I think we're going to proceed with a collection of random things I've been thinking about lately.

For years now, I've slept on a neck supporting contour pillow. I love them. So much so, that my mommy bought one for their guest room, so I have one when I visit. Anyway, somehow in my nocturnal tossing and turning, I keep flipping the pillow over. Now, I know back in the days of the flat pillows, I would occasionally wake up enough to flip the pillow over to the cool side. But these days, not so much with the remembering. It's really weird. I mean, these are not lightweight pillows. Either, I don't wake up as easily as I used to, or hobgoblins are sneaking into my room at night and magically flipping my pillow. I wonder if they know the underpants gnomes...

I have no holidays between now and Memorial Day. God, I miss Spring Break. I have a couple of good Spring Break stories. One involves a road trip to New Orleans and the other involves a few cans of paint. Maybe I'll wait until Spring Break time to share those.

I am unbelievably in love with the vanilla sandalwood home fragrance oil from Bath and Body Works. It's just heavenly. I got this bottle from Seren during Kelley's Birthday Week. I'm going to need a new bottle soon. I pretty much keep the oil burner (also a present from Seren) going all the time. That reminds me: I need tea lights next time I'm at Michael's.

I've turned into a card-playin' ole biddy. I taught Seren how to play
Canasta and now we're obsessed. And she's been kicking my ass lately. She claims it's because I taught her so well. I appreciate that sentiment, but it still makes me a loser. I learned to play in college. We used to play in the dorms when we should have been studying. I really do love the game. And I found out a few other friends play as well, but I think we're going to have a showdown over the rules. I'll just have to show them my spiffy link. I don't adhere completely to the rules I linked to. But some of their rules are just dumb.

I'm feeling the need to make a mix cd. I'll have to ponder the songs I want on this one. I'm feeling a bit pensive/gospel-ey/songs I can belt out in the car. We'll see what I come up with.
