Christina Keller
Christina Keller is the founder of Sustainable Enterprise. She has experience in numerous environmental, economic and social activities at all levels from participant to Board Member. She is currently earning an MBA/ Masters in Environmental Engineering at Cornell University. Her previous work experience includes work on K Street in Washington DC as a Project Manager for Environmental Resources Trust Inc (ERT).  ERT is an environmental non-profit organization that pioneers markets to improve the environment. She managed projects relating to renewable energy development in Virginia, and emission offset bundling in Africa. Her experiences have brought her to Uganda, Africa for pilot projects, and Milan, Italy to represent ERT at the 9th International Climate Change Conference (COP9). Less exotic places have included Duke University where she was a speaker at the Student Renewable Energy Conference and Virginia where she helped organize the logistics of a Wind Energy Conference. She has also been involved in meetings at the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments to help states quantify their emission reductions from renewable energy as part of their State Implementation Plans.

In addition to her work at ERT, she has been actively involved in the DC community. She was a team leader for a group of High School students involved in a project of community development called Shaw EcoVillage. She organized weekly activities for the students and helped then get involved in their community in a sustainable way. She takes inner city kids on hikes through the wilderness with DC Inner City Outings (ICO). She volunteered as a fourth grade elementary school music teacher at Kimball Elementary school in Anacostia, DC for a semester culminating in a final performance.

A cornerstone in her budding career was her work in Peru with an organization called ProPeru, a Peruvian based non-governmental organization working with promotion of techno-Andean culture and small community development. This organization has since expanded to be called ProWorld. During her time in Urubamba, Peru, Ms. Keller helped start a program that empowered women and created jobs. She helped develop the idea of teaching micro-business classes in Ccotowinsho, which expanded to the creation of a woman?s lavandaria (washing clothes) business. In Peru, she lived and worked completely in Spanish. She has also worked with the environment and education as a resident naturalist for a summer camp in Northern Michigan. She taught classes and led field trips in addition to maintaining the nature center. She has business experience from two summers of internships at Cascade Engineering in Grand Rapids Michigan as a marketing intern and human resources intern. She has been involved in numerous volunteer activities including two years of mission trips with Solar Lights for Africa. Where she installed solar panels and worked with doctors as well as having the honor of meeting the president and first lady of Uganda.

Ms. Keller is a Graduate of Boston College in the area of International Studies and Environmental Science. She also has a Masters certificate in International Economics from American University. She currently sits on the Board of Solar Light for Africa and Keller Family Businesses LLC.

She is committed to living a life of service, passion and protection of the environment.
