Dear Lord,
Thank you for all the many gifts you have given me in my life, among those, thank you for helping me become a nurse. At times I think of it more as a curse, but I am reminded it is a gift when I see that I have touched another human life in a way not many others ever have the chance to do.
Thank you for helping me to find the words when I don't know what to say.
Thank you for giving me the strength to stay when I feel I have none left and I just want to run.
Thank you for helping me to find ways to cope with all I have seen, and to never overlook all the wonderful little, (and sometimes big), things that make my job special when I reflect on a very trying shift.
Please always be with me in heart, and guide my hands, mind, and words so that I may always end my shift knowing I gave everything I had, to the people who needed me most at that time . . . Amen.
Ok, so I got an E-mail from a friend, and it kinda made me think, so I started writing and this is what came of it . . . tell me what you think, do you feel this way too? Love, ~*~Theresa~*~ |
