Educational
Support Specialist – Mrs. Baker: Term 3, already? Where has the
time gone? Time for a new start and new goals. What will you do differently
this term? What did you do well last term, and what needs improvement? If
homework completion was a problem in term 2, plan to stay after school on late
bus days and get homework done. If you
had trouble finding completed work because your notebook or locker ate the
assignments, stay after and get your notebooks and locker cleaned out. Parents,
please continue to check agendas on a daily basis. Term assignment sheets with
project dates will be sent home this week in reading and science. Please help your child meet deadlines.
World
Languages—Mrs. Borstel and Mrs. Wesley: Students are working on a

Congratulations
to the fine group of Geo Bee finalists: Nick Billingham, Ainsley Nickerson, Joan Keyes,
Hailey Chalhoub, Amanda Hayter, Ashley Howes, Greg Hughes, Kirsten Legrow, and
Erik Ozelius. Our four school bee representatives were Hailey Chalhoub, Ashley
Howes, Greg Hughes, and Erik Ozelius. Though none of them were the last person
standing, they were fine contestants who handled themselves extremely well with
some very challenging questions.
Congratulations to the ten people from the team who
submitted compositions in the Martin Luther King Jr. Essay Contest: Michael Annis, Lauren
Williams, Caitlin Holmes, Deidre Hudson, Trevor Macintyre, Stephanie Gray, John
Prince, Stephanie Sorrento, Hailey Chalhoub, and Sarah Fahey. The compositions
were well received by the Plymouth Interfaith Clergy who run the breakfast on
M.L.K. Day. Hailey Chalhoub’s composition was selected as the Seventh Grade
winner and she and her family attended the breakfast where she was called to
the stage to receive her award and gifts.
