Don't worry no one ever gets sick on Kelekia Island the only reason why you would come to the hosptial is if you wanted to have a baby instead of adopting a baby!
You can not choose the baby's gender, or if you get mutiples or not but you do get to name him/her. And you can apply at any time as long as you are married. It will take about a day for the doctors to figure out if you are pregnant and then it can take a week for the stork to bring the baby
