| Kentucky Character Section I: Fundraising. Act I: Kentucky Character will have several fundraising events each year to promote its cause. These events will change from year to year and may include: summer camps for youth, fundraising pageants, receptions and dinners for Kentucky?s leaders, essay contests (?), scholarship applications (?), and others. Act II: Goals for fundraising will change every year. Goal of fundraising for the 2003 year (summer) is set at 1,000 dollars. Act III: Funds raised by Kentucky Character outreaches will be used for marketing and fundraising in the fall of 2003 and spring of 2004. Section II: Distribution of Funds Act I: Kentucky Character will allocate funds to Kentucky public schools. This allocation will be determined upon application and reveiwal of application. Act II: Funds allocated by Kentucky Character to public schools will be used to promote Character Education in the form of purchasing Character Materials. The companies of which these materials may be purchased from include: Character Counts! (others will be added). Kentucky Character may expand to provide funds to be used in hiring purposes (hiring professionals to teach character education). the committee. This committee will be in charge of brainstorming and planning and carrying out ideas. Act III: Usage of funds received by Kentucky Character must be documented. This documentation will take the form of a sheet provided by Kentucky Character. |

| Section III: Research: Act I: Research Committee. A research committee may be formed to research character education in Kentucky and character education in other states (that will be used as a learning tool). Section IV: Scholarships Act I: In the near future, a scholarship fund will be created. Section V: Board of Directors and Committees: Act I: Kentucky Character will be built upon a board of directors. One of the directors will serve as the president of Kentucky Character. All other directors will be equal in command. Act II: This Board of Directors will consist of: A president (serving as the overseer of the entire Kentucky Character organization), director of finances, director of fundraising, director of marketing, director of public schools (in charge of allocating funds to public schools, and a scholarship director (future). Future expansion may include co-directors, or deputy directors. The Board of Directors will meet weekly in the beginning (for a month) then bi-montly. During the summer months the Board of Directors may meet montly. Act III: Each director (with the exclusion of the president) will have a focus committee.
