Tour of The National Sports Complex
The Perbadanan Stadium Merdeka organizes daily conducted tours of the National Sports Complex in Bukit Jalil for members of the public. Each tour gives insights into the huge complex that hosted the Kuala Lumpur ’98 – XVI Commonwealth Games in September 1998.
Visitors are briefed through photographic displays about the background and history of the five stadium located at Bukit Jalil. They include the National Stadium, Putra Indoor Stadium, National Aquatic Centre, National Hockey Stadium and the National Squash Centre.
Adults are charged RM2 and children below 12 years pay half-price for the walking tour led by knowledgeable tour guides. A souvenir leaflet and map is provided for member of the public taking part in the group tour which begins at the Bukit Jalil Sports Complex. All tour participants view a video flashback of the Commonwealth Games in the audio-visual room of the National Stadium.
The two hour long tour also takes in the multiple attractions of Commonwealth Hill, Family Park and the International Garden where everyone can enjoy a wide variety of outdoor recreational facilities.
A souvenir shop offers t-shirts, key, chains, bags and other items for visitor, light refreshments are readily available.
