 Kampung Kuantan/ Bukit Belimbing Firefly Sanctuary

Kampung Kuantan and Bukit Belimbing are the very few places left in the world where thousands

of fireflies can be seen twinkling on mangrove trees.The 'Pteroptyx tener', the species found here are so unique in their ability to produce twinkling bright lights at 3 twinkles a second... and all in synchonised timing. Every night, visitors to Kuala Selangor are taken along the river silently to listen to the symphonic harmony of these fireflies.

Paya Indah Wetland Sanctuary

Just 15km north of the KL International Airport, this 3,100 hectare wetland sanctuary is home to over 142 species of birds, 40 species of fish, 25 species of mammals and reptiles, 220 species of aquatic and terrestrial plants. Visitors here can enjoy the beauty of nature simply by walking along the broadwalks. Other exciting actvities include fishing, bird watching, nature tours, jungle trekking, camping, bike and horse riding, canoeing, boating and picniking.

Templer's Park

Rich in natural flora, fauna and unrivalled scenic beauty is Templer's Park, located 21km north of Kuala Lumpur. Set in a backdrop of a lush green forest and limestone hills, this 1,214 hectare forest reserve is an attraction to nature lovers, avid photographers and picnickers.
 
 

 Waterfalls

For an unforgettable experience, visit the various waterfalls in Selangor. The Sungai Gabai waterfalls are among the most spectacular. Consisting of several falls cascading from an impressive height of 100 metres, it is indeed a sight to behold.
