Just some basic info about the way I tab, for all you super mad rad fantastic folks. :) It's pretty easy to follow, but I'll go ahead and explain some stuph just in case.
The tabs are usually divided by part (intro, verse, chorus, etc.), and any given part may be repeated several times. At the bottom of the tab I give the basic order of these parts, but I don't tell you how many times to repeat them, because it's usually obvious by listening to the song itself. If for some reason you can't tell, email me and I'll tell you how many times to play something :)
I use :'s to mark off certain sections of a part that may not be played everytime that part is repeated. For the most part, one : marks off a section that is played the first few times, and two ::'s mark off a section that is only played the last time(s).
These sections that are marked off are usually numbered as "*1" or "*2" or something. Other sections that may need further explanation are also numbered. At the bottom of the tab I explain when that section is played or whatever detail it is I felt needed to be explained.
As far as rhythm is concerned, I generally try to show major differences in rhythm by the distance between numbers. If a certain note is played more than once at a time, such as in the beginning of Blue Comb '78, I may just list the note once versus writing out every single time the note is struck. You should be able to develop your own sense of how the song is played and how often to play a note by listening to the cd. In some cases I'll make a note about rhythm, but it's usually pretty easy to pick up.
If you have any questions, comments, corrections, or anything else you want to say (like, if you want to tell me how much you like the site :)), just drop me a line at It's Rad but Not Very Original. I hope you love the tabs! Or at least find them useful :)
God bless you guys!
