4.William Grant Cooper (ARTICLE) (CENSUS) (Mert Lawson-3, Amaziah-2, Jeremiah-1)  was born on January 13, 1898 in Nile Township, Scioto County, Ohio.  He appeared on the census in 1900 in Nile Township, Scioto County, Ohio.He appeared on the census in 1920 in Nile Township, Scioto County, Ohio.He died on February 23, 1926 in Upper Twin, Scioto County, Ohio.   Alva Holsinger shot Grant after a quarrel. He was buried in Cooper Cemetery, Upper Twin Creek, Adams County, Ohio.   He was buried on a Saturday afternoon. The cemetery is near the Lewis Home up the hollow from the house.  He was married to Martha Ella Sissel (daughter of  John S. Sissel and Hattie F. Williams) on March 11, 1918 in Scioto County, Ohio.  Martha Ella Sissel (PICTURE) (OBITUARY) was born on September 24, 1889 in Adams County, Ohio.  She appeared on the census in 1920 in Nile Township, Scioto County, Ohio.  She died on December 29, 1968 in Scioto County, Ohio.  William Grant Cooper and Martha Ella Sissel had the following children:

  ii. Homer Cooper was born on February 19, 1920 in Scioto County, Ohio.
  iii. Marcella Cooper (born on February 9, 1922).
  iv. Newton Cooper (born on June 23, 1923).
  v. Genevieve Cooper (born on March 25, 1925).

Marcella Cooper (PICTURE) (William Grant-4, Mert Lawson-3, Amaziah-2, Jeremiah-1)  was born on February 9, 1922 in Scioto County, Ohio.She was married to Dean Libby Sr. (son of  Gardiner Libby and Eva Burnell) in 1949. Dean Libby Sr. was born on December 25, 1925 in Bridgton, Cumberland County, Maine. He died on April 3, 1999 in Scioto County, Ohio.  Marcella Cooper and Dean Libby Sr. had the following children:

  i.  Eva Deloris Libby (born on February 22, 1950).

IV.Newton Cooper (PICTURE) (William Grant-4, Mert Lawson-3, Amaziah-2, Jeremiah-1)  was born on June 23, 1923 in Scioto County, Ohio.He was married to Willey Conley, and raised two steped sons

V. Genevieve Cooper (PICTURE) (William Grant-4, Mert Lawson-3, Amaziah-2, Jeremiah-1) was born on March 25, 1925 in Scioto County, Ohio. She was married to Alferd Swords.  Genevieve Cooper and Alferd Swords had the following children:

  i. Marcella "Sissy" Swords. 
  ii. Alfred Swords. 
  iii. Morgan Swords. 
  iv. Santana Swords . 

{She then was married to Paul Dunlap on April 12, 1962.}
