He walked along briskly down the dirt path. The path came out of the heavily wooded forest. He was approaching a small village surrounded by a stone wall. He was obviously an elven sorcerer. His skin was fairly light, his hair was light brown, and his eyes were dark green. He looked to be about the age of 20, although everyone knew he was older. He was relatively tall, and had very broad shoulders. His arms swung slightly as he walked. He was a long hooded cloak will a thin silver chain hanging around the neck. He led two horses that were pulling a loaded wagon. The wagon wheels squeaked every few paces, and the load was covered with a tattered green blanket. The horses were both white and as tall as he was at their shoulders.

The path he followed came down the edge of the mountain mostly shrouded by the trees surrounding the area. The path met a river with a small wooden bridge, and on the other side the path was paved. There was forest surrounding the village and path and everything around. It was autumn and the leaves are red and yellow but not yet falling. Mountains surround the forest. A sign hung across the gate at the edge of the village reading 'Welcome to Trst Hllw' over two large, locked doors with many small windows at different heights. As he approached the edge of the village he began to pick up his pace. He knocked on the door and immediately a window opened and a head protruded and looks him over.

'What is your business?' the tall man behind the door asked.

'I am Quarion Galanodel, son of Laucian Galanodel. I am here to speak with Chloe Garrick. She is expecting me,' replied the traveler.

The guard asked him to wait as he went down the street to ask Chloe if she was expecting such a man. She replied that she had expected him a week ago and worriedly went to the town gates trying to open the awesome doors. The man finally caught up to here and opened the door, and Quarion squeezed through, the horses following him.

'Why do you have so many of your belongings with you?' she asked him slowly.

'The armies east of my home were marching to the west as I was preparing to leave and since I haven't any idea what's going on, I thought I'd rather be safe than sorry.'

She leads him back to her home. He looked at the buildings as he follows her. He saw a few inns and some restaurants and pubs. As they neared her house, he saw a very large, probably 12-story tall building with the sign on the front reading, 'The Confederation of All Nations.' They reached her home and they went inside, leaving the horses outside to graze in the yard a bit. They went into her living room.

'You want some tea?' she kindly asked him tucking her flowing blonde hair behind her ear, her blue eyes shimmering a bit in the light.

'No, that's ok, thanks for asking though...' he said a bit hesitantly.

'What's wrong?' she kindly asked sitting next to him.

'Its nothing, I'm a little worried about things back home and I still don't know why I'm here.'

She stood up and paced back and forth across the room. He sighed anxiously, knowing whatever was about to happen wasn't likely to be very good. She walked over and sat next to him.

'It's my sister...' she said so softly, he can hardly hear her. '...She is...she is missing, I went to run an errand and when I came back she was nowhere to be found. No one had seen her and I didn't know who to turn to, so I sent for you...'

She trailed off and began to sob. As she did, he stood up and pondered a second.

'So you...want me...to find your sister...whom I have never met, or ever even seen?' She nodded a bit, still looking down at the wooden floor, with tears pouring down her cheeks. 'How do you propose that I go about doing this?'
