Poem

All I ever truly have is me
I won't always have friends,
Sometimes I doubt I ever do.
Even those I think are my closest allies,
Until when I realize it's all just another persons act,
They seem like they're kind and everything,
But deep down I always feel they are judging me.
People I've know since second grade seem changed,
Seldom acknowledging me any more,
It's not like I know them or anything.

All I ever truly have is me
I have to earn everyone's respect,
Even when they teach us in school,
That we should respect all guests in the building,
I'm here everyday, why can't I have some?

All I ever truly have is me
With stupid pointless violence,
And stupid drugs and alcohol,
Taking my friends and even some strangers far away from me.
