Our Super Caravan!!!

With our upcoming year on the road (lots of army courses), we bought a caravan so that Rae and bubs and puppies can come with their Army Keirin.

We bought the van from a couple in St Clair NSW for $2700 (a bargain!). It is a 1976 Millard 12'6'' caravan.

It was in really good condition and we had a lot of fun converting it to our needs (namely it had to be able to house us and the baby).

We changed its colour scheme from wood veneer and red to clean, white, and blue.

Dad (Laurie) came down in August and we got some serious work done. As can be seen the van got insulated, primed and rewired while he was down:

Then the van was  fully painted and the panelling started to go in:

Looking snazzy hey?

Well, it's finally finished! I had to work all summer holidays long to get it done (got a great tan in the process!), but it was worth it. Total cost about $6,500 - it's the only way to get yourself a caravan. The photos below show how cool it looks.

The inside has a gas oven, two burner gas cooktop, microwave, two way (gas or electricity) fridge, mains and tank water, TV, VCR and all other goodies to help make life a bit more comfortable!

At this time, we'd love to say thank you to everyone who helped out in the moving, cleaning, building, painting, wiring and plumbing of the caravan!

Namely, Rae, Dad, Mum, Dad, Dave, Paul, Aaron (Dinga), Ryan, Brendan (Robbo), Peter, Sarah, Mr McD and everyone else that helped.
