The Tale of Venolia:

CHAPTER 2: The Island.(page-2)

The islanders captured the two unconscious men (Kayfir and Baron) and took them to a
far away destination on the island...

They eventually woke up, only to find that they have been locked up in cages. Cages made of wood, with a sturdy structure. They were in the middle of a forest again, without any burned trees or anything. There were two men outside the cage, staring at them. One had a red mask on, of some kind of monster, and the other had that giant bird mask on that Kayfir and Baron saw before, near the house. Baron tried to grab his axe, but then he realised that it was gone. He then reached for the crossbow on his back, but then realised that they have taken that away from him too. He looked at Kayfir, and he didn’t have his sword or dagger with him either.
He then looked at the trees outside of the cage, and leaning on one of them, laid all their belongings. The man with the bird mask stood next to their equipment, so it was impossible to get to them. It was impossible for them to break out, as well.
As for Jasire, he was still walking in the forest, quietly talking to himself. He completely walked past all the burned grounds without noticing it. He was way past that now. Over time, he eventually came to a change in trees. It was still in the middle of a forest, but here he instantly saw two cages. He lurked up behind a tree to look at the men inside. It was Baron and Kayfir! Jasire was stoked, he thought that this was foolish of them, seeing as how they haven’t been on the island for very long, and still they’ve been trapped straight away! He kept looking around, while still hiding behind the tree. He saw a small house, still in tact.
It was built on a large shrub-like trunk, with a wooden veranda. It was made out of stone and wood, and the ceiling was made of wood panels, with a bit of an opening in between the panels so that the light shines through the roof and into the house. It blended in well with the trees around it, as it even had leaves and vines hanging from the house. There was a wooden ladder attached to the veranda. Jasire figured that this would be the way to get up there.
He couldn’t see Kayfir and Baron’s weapons, so he thought that they may be in the small building. He snuck along the trees, behind the guards and next to the ladder. Baron saw Jasire, and his eyebrows rose (or ‘eyebrow’, as he basically had one large, long eyebrow instead of two short ones.). The islander with the bird mask saw his expression, so he turned around to find out what he was looking at. Jasire then hid behind the ladder of the house, and the islander didn’t see him. Then the two islanders walked up in front of the cages
“I’m watching you. You and evil men come and destroy land. We get angry and you come back, but we trap you now.” The islanders said. Their grammar and speech wasn’t correct, but Baron and Kayfir still understood them.
“What, we come and destroy your land?” Kayfir said.
“Yes. You came and destroy land. You burn down our town.” The islanders replied.
Then Baron joined the talk. “Oooh, wait a second here.” He said. “Were these guys wearing scale male armour and looked real fierce and hairy?”
“Yes…just like you.” said the islanders.
”Oh…I see.” said Baron, as he looked at his torso, and realised that he was wearing scale male and had quite a lot of facial hair. As they continued talking, Jasire climbed up into the house’s entrance. No one saw him there except Kayfir and Baron.
“This is a big miss understanding! Those same kind of people raided our land as well! They came and burned things down, but we eventually had them re-built. You can do that as well. Look, we’ll even help you re-build your society if you just let us out of these cages!” said Kayfir.”
“Never!” The islanders said. “We keep you here forever! We come back in one hour to check up on you!” The islanders ran back to their tribe shortly after saying this.

When they left, Jasire popped out of the tree-hut.
“I can’t find your weapons and stuff!” he said.
“They’re just over there.” said Baron, as he pointed towards the tree with their items near. Jasire then looked in Baron’s lot of things and saw the massive axe near it. He picked up the axe and swung it towards the cages, and he smashed open both of them.
“Wow, careful where you swing that thing!’ said Kayfir. The two hopped out of the broken cages and they all left the place. They were running as fast as they could, with all their equipment and all their things with them, through all the thick grass and leaves and trees.

The islanders saw them, so they ran after them. Kayfir, Jasire and Baron all knew in their heads that they could possibly die. They knew that even if they went on the boat and left the island, that they would be lost again in the ocean, back to square one. The tide was getting bigger and the waters were getting rougher, and they didn’t want to go in the boat in such conditions. Kayfir was ahead of them all, so without any second thoughts, he turned around and ran in the opposite direction, away from the boat. The other two followed him, and so did the islanders.
After about ten minutes, the islanders eventually gave up. They thought that they had left the island. Little did they know that Kayfir and the other two were still running away from them.

By the time that they found themselves a nice place to stay, away from the town and away from anywhere the islanders could find them, they were very hungry. Jasire remembered that he still had his spear, so he and Kayfir went out in the ocean to catch some fish, like what they did before. They loved doing that. It was their new hobby. They had been living off fish for quite some time now. Baron stayed behind and set up a fire and some leaves to sleep on. When they came back, Baron was sleeping. Kayfir then took off his cape and wrapped it over Baron. Jasire and Kayfir cooked the fish and then ate them. There were plenty of fish in the sea, so it wasn’t as though Baron was missing out on much. After they ate the fish, they set up nice surfaces for them, and slept all night.
