| Hello and welcome to "In the Closet". I'm Kei, your resident author and the one behind this rambling web site. I'm, as the title indicates, a "closet boyband" fan. I've been writing since, well, I could pick up a pen, and have been in the fanfiction world for close to, well, four years, maybe five. My tastes and subject matter have changed, and my writing has improved (hopefully) over the years- so if you see any of my earlier stuff, cringe for me. I love writing fanfiction because it IS an escape away from reality. This is NOT real people. None of it is. That's part of what's so great about it. These stories are never going to be published- they can have an overdone plotline and missing commas. When I'm tired of work and even tired of writing, fanfiction keeps me grounded with its element of "impossibillity" while putting me into a world of other amazing writers and some darn nice people. With that all in mind, I shall now disclaim to my heart's content. I am not a Backstreet Boy or a member of *NSYNC. I do not know, work, or date them. I've never even been to a concert. The closest I've ever come is TV. The stories contained within this site are purely fiction and written for non profit entertainment and non profit entertainment alone. I am not a scary stalker fan. I wish the boys happiness, luck, and a pat on the back for all that they have done and all that they will do. From what I can tell, they're some amazing people. Props to them for taking the collective world by storm with their looks, heart, and sound. I respect them for their talent, and wouldn't want to be in their shoes for a million years.
