Digimon 1/2: Adventures Through Time and Space
Part 2
By Keiko
"THIS ISN'T FUNNY, DAMMIT!! HOW DID I TURN INTO A GIRL??!!!" Taichi looked to be close in tears, lower lip trembling. Yamato blinked. The sight was fascinating and unnerving at the same time. He'd never thought he'd see the "Fearless Leader" cry. Then again, he'd never seen Tai become a girl before...
Taichi's anguished cry was cut short by a weak bark and a tug at his...her shirt. He looked down to see an adorable but miserably wet puppy looking at him with pleading eyes. Around its neck hung a small silver whistle. The puppy whimpered and attempted to jump up into Taichi's arms. Taichi stared at the puppy with unbelieving eyes, "Hikari-chan...?"
By now, other figures where beginning to rise from the springs around them. A shrill oink emitted from beneath a green hat lying in a shallow spring. Patamon hovered over it, poking at the hat and crying, "Takeru-chan?!" Biyomon was similarly hovering over a drenched furball just emerging out from beneath a helmet-like hat. A red-haired monkey was blinking water from its eyes, a pineapple-colored laptop and Tentomon next to it. A blue-shelled tortoise was swimming to the bank of another spring, Gomamon accompanying it. A pink-furred fox was sneezing nonstop, looking unhappy. Palmon was patting its back, nervous and unsure at the same time. All of the animals had human clothes hanging off them.
Yamato ran over to Patamon, and lifted the green hat to reveal a small yellow piglet, trapped within the folds of a green shirt. "TK...?" He lifted the piglet out of the spring, and set it down in his lap. The piglet looked up sadly, and began crying. Patamon flew down next to it, and nuzzled the boy-turned pig. A bit farther, Taichi had forgotten about her problem long enough to give Hikari the puppy a once-over. Agumon and Gatomon had found them and were now comforting their humans. He frowned. Where was Gabumon?
An annoyed growl behind him answered his question. Gabumon was climbing out of a particularly deep-looking spring, his thick fur soaked with water. He looked pissed at his predicament, than ran over to Yamato to see if he was alright.
Taichi had no doubt that the puppy was his...her little sister. The whistle and Gatomon's attention to it proved him...her right. Compared to her sister, her own situation was nothing. At least she was still human. Female, but human. And it looked as if Yamato was the only other one who remained human. He looked around at everyone. The piglet was Takeru, the dainty looking fox was Mimi, the tortoise was Jyou, the little monkey was Koushiro, the furball, who was licking itself into a cat, was definitely Sora. His attention was caught by a short plump man standing near the edge of a spring some distance away, staring at them with a surprised expression on his face. "Hey, excuse me!" She called out. "Can you help us?"
The man picked his way carefully past the various springs, finally standing in from of Taichi and Yamato. Taking a close look at Taichi, he clapped his hands together and exclaimed, "Ah, I see you fall into Spring of Drowned Girl, yes? I bet you use to be boy!" Taichi glared. "What is this place? Where are we?" Yamato asked. The man bowed, "This is Jusenkyo, Cursed Springs of China. I am tour guide here." Seeing Takeru the pig, he licked his lips and inquired, "Is this real pig? Or human turned pig?" Yamato hugged his brother to him, "It's my brother." The man looked disappointed for a moment, "Oh. Are all these other animals human too?" he indicated towards Mimi, Jyou, Koushiro, Hikari, Sora, and the digimon. Taichi nodded, then said, "The digimon aren't human, but the rest are our friends, I think. We're in China? How'd we get here? And what is this Jusenkyo place?"
Just then, lightening flashed. The tour guide paled. "Uh oh, thunder storm! Hurry, let's get back to my place before this place floods." The Digidestineds were more than happy to comply.

Disclaimers, blah blah.  I wish I owned Digimon, so I could twist the ending around, but I don't.  It belongs to Toei and who knows who else.

Let me say now that this fic will be half serious and half silly... It kind of wrote itself.
Keiko's rants: Well?  don't ask why I didn't pick any supernatural animals for the digidestines to turn into.  I figure the story's already weird enough.
