Build a Book Report   
1.  Choose a
historical fiction book.
2.  Show the book to Miss Fishman.
3.  Begin building your book report.

* Recreate the historical event in your book using various materials such as clay, playdough, paper,etc.  Be sure to include characters and anything important from your story.
* You may use a box to display the historical event (diorama) or you may choose to bring in separate pieces of your project and display them on a desk.
* Attach a small index card to your project.  On the card, write a clear and detailed description of the historical event you constructed.
* Be ready to present your book report on May 30.

Make a Book Jacket!

1.  Choose a fantasy or adventure book.
2.  Show the book to Miss Fishman for approval.
3.  Read a book.
4.  Begin making your book jacket.
    
YourBook Jacket must include following:
* Cover with title and author 
10 pts.
* Detailed, colorful picture on the cover that is different from the picture on the real cover.  (The picture must show something that happens in the book!)  20 pts.
* A detailed summary of the book written in complete sentences on the inside flap of the book  30 pts.
* At least 3 reviews on the back of the book jacket
15 pts. * Information about the author on the back inside flap (It must be written in compete sentences and you must include at least 5 facts about the author.)  15 pts.
* Place your new book jacket around the book and bring it to school on Wednesday, November 26!

Remember to:
Do a neat, colorful job!  Check your writing for complete sentences!  HAVE FUN!
