Modern Progressions
- Here are a string of progressions that I have listed for you all. We will be working off of the song, "When I Think About The Lord" since it is easy to "spruce up". Hope you like them.
Progression #1
We have established that you can use minor ii-V cycles when going to a six chord. If you havent read that page first go back and read it! Here is a different voicing for the progression.
In F
Em7(b5)
R.H.-  Db-Gb-Bb/ L.H.-  E-D
A7(#5#9)
C-F-A / A-D-G
Dm11
G-C-E-G / D-C

Try it!
It has kinda a heavy end, but works
Progression #2
This is just another voicing for the cycle we just played. It is alot lighter, so it gives your bass some room to walk. However, make sure he visits the modal section of this site!!!
In F

Em7(b5)
Db-Gb-Bb / D-Ab
A7(#5#9)
C-F-A / Db-G
Dm11
C-E-G / D-F-A
It is actually more of an organ progression.

...how he saved me, how he raised me, how he filled me...
