CHAMBERS (Ada Pierce) - In an Anatolian Valley , Bouregy & Curl, Inc. (New York), 1955, 251pp. The story of Moslem cruelty and the destruction, torture and rape of Armenians in the Bardizag community in Turkey. The author lived and taught at the American School in Bardizag. She wrote this historical novel, as a memoir, based on the lives of two friends who survived massacre. The events of history are accurately developed by this, now, Professor Emeritus of philosophy an the Unversity of Washington.

BORCHALU
Lalayants (Ervand)- Borchalui Gavar, Tiflis (s.d., XIX s.). The book consists of three parts: I part - Geography and Nature of Borchalu; II part - Nationality Ara Geghetsik This is very interesting and beautiful history book about Borchalu State (Lori, Trialet, Akhtala, Akhlkalaq, etc).

The towns of Evereg(1,000 Armenian families) and Fenesse(700 Armenian families) were Armenian villages located in the region of Cappadocia which lies in the Anatolian plateau of present day Turkey. Evereg-Fenesse, now called Develi, near Kayseri. In 2000, some Armenians visited the town and went to the St.Toros church in Evereg, now converted to a mosque. Written by the natives of the village, the book tells of its history and describes its folk - ways and traditions. This book is one of only a handful of publications in English describing the history of an Armenian village. The book studies the lives of Armenian villagers. It explores their social, public, and economic lives, as well as their ethnic traditions before the Genocide. The book also tells of their trials and tribulations during and after the massacres, based on chilling eyewitness accounts.

GOVDOON (SEBASTIA)
Vahan Hambartsumian - Village World, An historical and cultural study of Govdoon, trans. into english by Murad A. Meneshian, Providence (RI), 2001. Originally published in Armenian by Daron Publishing House in Paris(1927). Govdoon was an Armenian village located in Sebastia(lesser Armenia) in Anatolia (Turkey). Written by the natives of the village, the book tells of its history and describes its folk - ways and traditions. This book is one of only a handful of publications in English describing the history of an Armenian village. Village World (Kiughashkharh) is a historical and cultural study of Sebastia, including Govdoon, and the surrounding villages, such as Khorsanah, Zara, Kartuk, and many others Vahan Hambartsumian wrote the book in Armenian in 1927.
