Wild Arms System: Playstation Date: 1997 This was an overlooked game because it came out the summer before Final Fantasy 7. Graphics: This game had well draw 2d over world graphics mixed in with god-awful polygon battle graphics. At some points in the game you will want to look away from the screen because the monsters look so blocky and stupid. SCORE: 6.5 Music: Wild Arm has an excellent sound track and a classic main theme. Though other than the main theme, nothing really stands out. SCORE: 7.5 Story: This game features an excellent story with many good twist. SCORE: 8 Gameplay: This game is a cross between a normal traditional RPG and Zelda type games. There are many cool items you will need to traverse the dungeons. Just like old RPGs this game has many puzzles which can be fairly though. The battles can get really boring. SCORE: 7 Innovation: This games mixture of Zelda-ish game play and traditional game play makes for a great mix. Though other than that nothing major . SCORE: 6 Replay: Nothing to compelling, the dull battles could turn you off. SCORE: Little Overall: A good RPG SCORE: 7+ |
