Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete. System: Playstation Date: 1998 This game came out for the Sega CD! Then a remake was made for the Saturn, then a better remake was made for the Playstation. Graphics: This game was made for Sega CO so even though the graphics are enhance they were not designed for the playstation. The game is standard 2d from past 16-bit RPGs. The 20 graphics are enhanced though and look pretty good. SCORE: 7.5 Music: The Lunar: SSSC has a good soundtrack but nothing really stands out, nonetheless the sound quality is still top notch. SCORE: 7 Story: Great plot with enduring characters and a memorable villain. The game progress smoothly and new characters are brought in at just the right time. One of the best parts of this game is the humor, which can be very funny at times while not weakening the dramatic storyline. SCORE: 9 Gameplay: Old school game play were by you get stronger by -gasp- gaining levels, though this method you gain new spell, higher stats and if lucky more attacks per round. Even though there is nothing new to be seen here the classic game play is still great fun. SCORE: 8 Innovation: Little SCORE: Little Replay: There are secrets to be had and abilities and levels to master, but nothing to pressing. Still the great game play and story may bring you back for more. SCORE: Little/Some Overall: A great RPG SCORE: 8.5+ |
