Janice & Paul Keesler Scholarship Fund

Founded in 1988 shortly after the untimely death of Mrs. Keesler, the widely respected Associate Editor and co-founder (with huband Paul) of the New York Sportsman Magazine, the JKSF Committee has subsequently been soliciting and collecting donations from sportsmen and the general public throughout New York State in order to create this self-sustaining living memorial to a very special lady in honor of her many contributions to their cause.

Following the 2005 passing of Paul Keesler, founding Editor/Publisher of the magazine and author of many fine outdoor related books, his name has been added to our fund's title.

These annual scholarships are available to any New York State resident who has been accepted into any accredited institution of higher learning and is, or will be, working toward obtaining a degree in some facet of wildlife management. To date, the JPKSF has had the honor of distributing more than $27,500 in scholarship grants to worthy and deserving wildlife management students.

In December of this year, and continuing on an annual basis, a wonderful couple who cared deeply for the continuation and health of the outdoor sports will be remembered in a most fitting and meaningful manner.

Please see our "News" section for application information.
