Wilmer Industrial Concept Plan
The Wilmer Intermodal Railport facility is slated to generate industrial growth in Wilmer totaling approximately 7000 acres of tilt-wall construction with varied industrial business development. This growth is due to generate approximately $20 million in inventory and property taxes per year after the development has completed construction. Until then, there will be a percentage of generated revenue for the City of Wilmer that will far exceed that which is received under the current budget. This boost to Wilmer and the surrounding area will be unlike anything that could have been planned before Union Pacific announced plans through Prime Rail Interest to locate an Intermodal Facility in Wilmer, Texas. The Council and citizens of Wilmer thank Union Pacific for allowing us to host your new Intermodal Railport site, and are indebted to you for what you will bring to us in Wilmer.
