MY DOOR
You could wake me up everyday, just like a child that wants to play, with your hair amuss from the night before.
Then wrap your soul around my heart, and promise me you'll never part. For I couldn't bear to see you walk out my door.
Then, my love, I'd give to you, an eternity of a love that's true, and I'd do my best to care for your every need.
For this heart of mine has much to give, and it's weak at times but wants to live, forever with another heart, it pleads.
Hate, lies and dishonesty, unfaithfulness, mistrust you see, has no room in a heart that wants to please.
And forever is a worthless thing, that lasts as long as an untrue ring, that's thrown away with such careless ease.
So take this caring heart of mine, and hold it with a love so fine, If you can trust me to do the same.
But before you say forever more, please know you won't walk out my door. For simple reasons with no one to blame.
