I Sit and Watch the Wind

I sit and watch the gentle wind
   caress the evening sky
as the clouds mix quietly high above

With gentle fingers blending them
they swirl and drift on by
     making me think of love

The clouds merge like two lovers
   combining softly into one
but still apart enough to touch

Always together, until the end of their time
   Their closeness is never gone
never asking or expecting too much

I sit and watch her loving heart
   soothe my wanting soul
her lips, they come to me with care

She plays her fingers upon my skin
and I never want to go
always wanting to be right there

Her body presses soft and warm
and then we become as one
     but apart enough to touch

Not ever wanting time to end
   our love is never gone
     a love thats never enough

and I sit and watch the wind
