On the days when I feel sad,
So sad and blue from missing you,
I look at things all around me,
Hoping they will get me thru.
Thru the sad thoughts in my mind,
From you being so far away.
Knowing that dwelling on distance and time,
Will not help me get thru my day.
So, my love, it's sweet thoughts I think,
Like the sweetness of your kiss.
I take the time to look at pictures of you,
And it seems, it helps me not miss.
Miss the way that you held my hand,
Miss your sweet honest smile,
Miss the way you laughed with me,
The thoughts subdue my missing awhile.
One day, my love, more than these thoughts
Of you will be bringing me cheer.
I will in time be in your arms,
And you will say, "Love, Bring Me Near".
