As I lie in bed at night
like a dream
I feel her body next to mine
and I reach for her
Then almost as in fright
I could just scream
the dream I had so fine
I awaken and she's not there
As I think in bed at night
my thoughts, they soothe my soul
Knowing she really wants to be
beside me makes me smile
Then everything's alright
I know her love will never go
the one she loves is me
it makes everything worthwhile
I reach for her warmth
I reach for her soul
I reach for her love
and draw her near
