Other than the 1997 undefeated season, Michigan has lost at least three games every year since Lloyd Carr has been head coach (except for a two loss season in 1999 and a two loss season in 2006).
They have only gone undefeated at home five times during his twelve year tenure (1997, 2000, '03, '04, '06).
They have lost eight regular season non-conference games and seven bowl games against non conference opponents in those twelve years.  That's also thirteen non-conference losses in the past ten seasons since the undefeated season.
Michigan has gone 5-7 in their bowl games during this span.
Lloyd Carr has lost a combined 36 games during his thirteen year reign.  That's an average of just over three losses per season (and that includes an undefeated season).  They have also allowed an average of 28 points per game in those 36 games and have lost by an average of a touchdown (seven points) in those 36 losses.  Since the undefeated season Michigan has lost 28 games for an average of 3.1 losses per season in those 10 years.
They have had a .737 winning percentage during the eight seasons since they went undefeated.  That is below their historically NCAA best .744 winning percentage all time.
Finally, the most telling stat is Michigan's record against their biggest rivals.  They are 4-4 against Notre Dame, 9-3 against Michigan State, and 6-6 against Ohio State.  That's a combined winning percentage of just over 60% against their three biggest rivals during Carr's tenure.  Since the undefeated season Michigan has gone 3-4 against Notre Dame, 7-2 against Michigan State (which includes a triple overtime win in 2004 and an overtime win in 05), and 3-6 against Ohio State.  That's a .500 record against the school's greatest rivals.  He also has a 1-5 record against the Buckeyes since Jim Tressel took over the Ohio State program in 2001.
