KEEP LLOYD
Michigan 32 Appalachian State 34
Michigan 7 Oregon 39
Well, good old Lloyd has done it again. He has found yet another way to prove that he is the best coach in the history of football. Indeed, Division 1A teams have lost to Division 1AA teams before. In fact, Colorado lost their first game last year to a D-1AA school. However, only Lloyd Carr could take it to a whole new level by coaching his team into becoming the first ranked D-1A school in NCAA history to lose to a D-1AA opponent. And only Lloyd could figure out a way to get humiliated again at home the very next week.
Not only did Michigan lose to D-1AA Appalachian State (who is from Boone, NC for those who were curious), but they did it when ranked #5 and they did it at home. At home! In the Big House! And not only that, but you are the winningest program in college football history and you lost to Appy State. And then this week they followed that outstanding performance with another 32 point HOME loss.
I mean, come on guys. Mike Hart, Chad Henne, Jake long, I thought this season was your season, I thought this was your "Revenge Tour," I though this was your turn at a national title? Well, I guess you can kiss all of those dreams goodbye. And you may want to kiss Henne goodbye since he got hurt and sat out the second half, and maybe Hart as well who kept getting banged up all day.
Congratulations Coach Carr and Company on yet another impressive showing. I hope that the brilliant powers-that-be in Ann Arbor choose to give you a raise and contract extension after today. Congrats.
