Run Little Turkey!
This was Mr. Turkey's first Thanksgiving when he heard his master, Mr. Farmer, talking of Thanksgiving dinner. What he heard did not make him a very happy turkey.
Before he panicked, he decided he would try to reason with Mr. Farmer.
This proved unsuccessful.
Mr. Turkey ran as fast as turkey legs could possibly run, and tried to find hiding places. He tried the haystacks.
Then he tried the leaf pile.
None of these hiding places kept him hidden for long. In his desperation, he came up with a plan to avoid being Mr. Farmer's dinner.
Mr. Turkey disguised himself as Mr. Farmer's dream come true.
His disguise worked! Mr. Farmer came running to eat the delicious turkey. Quick as lightning, Mr. Turkey sprang out of his disguise and achieved the revenge he had wanted so badly. He accepted it with a smirk.
Afterward, Mr. Turkey became the first non-human senator in the Senate and led many civil rights movements against the consumption of turkeys. To this day, Mr. Turkey urges turkeys everywhere to stay strong and that someday, turkeys will acheive justice.
