    December, White December!

December, white December, reflections of long ago
Memories that linger, of a white Christmas snow
The fire place is roaring, and plume from Chimneys rise
December, white December--how the snow flies

December, white December--the tree is standing tall
Trinkets, lights, and baubles, of ole time yule-recall
Ghosts of Christmas pasts reveal, the spirit of a child
Stir treasured joys of Santa Claus, still make the heart smile

December, white December--soft light of candle glow
An enchanting flame of splendor, of Christmas' long ago
Mother sealing envelopes, for her Christmas cards
And father with his shovel, making a path in the yard

December, white December--sledding hills of white
Shrieks, shrills, and laughter, ring into the night
Children throwing snowballs, a Victorian winter scene
    December, white December--wonderland of dreams

December, white December--stockings in a row
And presents 'round the tree, all wrapped with pretty bows
A collection of tradition, passed down from yesterday
December, white December--memories bright and gay

December, white December--all for Christmas day
Spirits bright and merry, everyone at play
An old fashioned Christmas, with benevolence and cheer
December, white December--the best time of the year.
