December, white December, reflections of long ago Memories that linger, of a white Christmas snow The fire place is roaring, and plume from Chimneys rise December, white December--how the snow flies December, white December--the tree is standing tall Trinkets, lights, and baubles, of ole time yule-recall Ghosts of Christmas pasts reveal, the spirit of a child Stir treasured joys of Santa Claus, still make the heart smile December, white December--soft light of candle glow An enchanting flame of splendor, of Christmas' long ago Mother sealing envelopes, for her Christmas cards And father with his shovel, making a path in the yard December, white December--sledding hills of white Shrieks, shrills, and laughter, ring into the night Children throwing snowballs, a Victorian winter scene December, white December--wonderland of dreams December, white December--stockings in a row And presents 'round the tree, all wrapped with pretty bows A collection of tradition, passed down from yesterday December, white December--memories bright and gay December, white December--all for Christmas day Spirits bright and merry, everyone at play An old fashioned Christmas, with benevolence and cheer December, white December--the best time of the year.
