January Embers
An icy paradise,makes for a
nostaligic wintery scene
As the snowflakes briskly float down
their feathery dusting
methodically serene
And a blustery wind embraces thee
while the icy coldness
takes the breath away
The artic touch of Ole man winter
who came to visit today
As nature sleeps
he blankets her in lace afghans of white
While January embers burn in the fireplace
all is at peace tonight.
