Case 1

JR  is a 5 year old Welsh Thoroughbred cross gelding.  His current owner has had him for 1-1/2 years.  He had never been able to sweat (anihydrosis) and fatigued easily when worked.
Acupuncture was started on a weekly basis with dry needles to try to balance the energy in his body and open his pores so he could sweat.  After the first treatment, he started sweating under the saddle area and a little bit under the girth.  With each succesive treatment his sweat production has increased.  His owners are happy with his increased energy, his new found ability to do well in the show ring and the fact that his body is back on the road to health.

Case 2:

Maxwell presented with general back pain, inability to go straight over jumps and a very sensitive scar on his left hind quarter.  His owner wasn't able to even brush the scar area without reaction.  Skeletal manipulation of the pelvis and lumbar region was done.  The scar was cleared with acupuncture after which he moved noticeably easier in his workouts.
