Welcome! When I retired from education and financial planning to live aboard our sailboat, I submitted a story to a popular boating magazine. What a delight -- it sold immediately. Little did I know.
Ten years into my writing career and I've experienced the highs of competition winning, magazine acceptance, and book publishing, as well as, the agony of agent/editor rejection, misprinted articles, lost manuscripts in computer nano-land and critiqued submissions. (Successful writers must grow thick skins and be persistent.)
I encourage you to continue to read, take classes, ask questions, observe, and join organizations that lead you toward publishing success.
