Mrs. Phillips has Bachelor of Music Education and Master of Music degrees from North Texas State University in Denton, Texas. She has taught music in Duncanvelle, Texas, Louisville, Kentucky, and Kenton County, Kentucky. She has also directed adult and children's church choirs.
Hobbies enjoyed by Mrs. Phillips include reading mystery books, hiking, and editing home videos on computer. She also enjoys singing in the Northern Kwentucky Community Chorus and the adult choir of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, where she is also a lay assistant.
Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Mrs. Phillips is married to Mickey Phillips and has one son, Scott.
