The Pilot's Lounge - Sluissi Purchases

Sluissi Purchases

Need help getting that perfect sluissi to suit all your needs? Tough, there aren't any.
The real trick to picking out a sluissi is not to get a ship that would be only average at doing multiple things, but finding a ship that specializes in one specific task such as fighting, raiding, personal/vehicle transportation, etc.

Caution: This guide is completely my opinion. Others may have better ideas.

The following is my review of all the Sluissi Starships.

Shuttles Fighters Freighters Capitals

Shuttles

  • Sluissi shuttle - model 1000 Recommended: To those Imps who say shields are for Wimps This shuttle seems geared for combat, and although it has good manuvering and quick speed it's lack of shields and low hull make it caparable to those Tie Fighter death traps. It could be used for transportation, but there are cheaper ones out there for that.
  • Sluissi attack shuttle - model 2000 Recommended: Could be good for a pilot on a low budget Somewhat comparable to the 1000 model, this shuttle boasts added shields, a stronger hull, and missiles if you're into those. Good if you can't afford a fighter, but I'd keep on saving up my money.
  • Sluissi cargo shuttle - model 3000 Recommended: Cyax Runners It's hard to find anything exceptional about this one, but if I have to, I'd say it'd be a good ship for making Cyax runs in because of its larger cargo capacity than most shuttles. Because of the large price difference between freightes and shuttles, this wouldn't be a bad ship for a new player to start hauling cargo in.
  • Sluissi vehicle transport shuttle - model 4000 Recommended: Highly, for all your AT-AT needs This is a great shuttle for all you who desire easier/faster kills. It's pretty easy to find walkers throughout the galaxy which can help you kill that difficult, equipment hogging mob out there. Note: Vechicle kills no longer give you exp, so make sure you check to see when your mob is getting down towards near death, and always be sure to lock the door.
  • Sluissi transport shuttle - model 5000 Recommended: Yes This little transport is great for pilots of all levels. It's the perfect ship for getting yourself from one place to another. A large fuel tank as well as a decent top speed, can get you from one side of the galaxy to the next with no pit stops.
  • Sluissi military shuttle - model 6000 Recommended: If you're poor and have a friend Personally, I wouldn't ever fight with a shuttle. It just isn't worth it when you can spend a little more money and get a much better fighter. Although it has a pretty powerful turret, the low amount of fuel makes for many pit stops while trying to get to your destination.
  • Sluissi heavy cargo shuttle - model 7000 Recommended: Not really This shuttle can be outfitted with a small bay, suggesting use for raids. However, the mere fact that there aren't any shields, low maneuver, and a terrible hull would make any failures in decrypting a ship's code....Poopy. I suggest saving for a freighter for this kind of stuff.
  • Sluissi combat shuttle - model 8000 Recommended: No I really don't recommend combat in shuttles. With this one, the really low shielding is very undesirable. Although hull strength is really high, that still doesn't keep systems such as weapons from becoming damaged. Save up for that fighter.
  • Sluissi defense shuttle - model 9000 Recommended: For possible Capital raids One of the best things about raiding capitals is you don't have to have a bay to keep your raiding ship. Only downside is the multiple turrets that come to life when the capital figures out your plan. With the great shields, hull, and maneuver rate this has, it shouldn't be too hard to get away with your health still in tack.
  • A great thing about shuttles is that they're cheap to retrieve and cheap to contract.

Man, I don't think I can do this for 18 more ships. This is as far as I'm going for now, I need a break.
