SO I BOUGHT MY BROTHER A BEST FRIEND
PART 12
THE HOSPITABLE AGAIN
"I knew we shouldn't have done this!" Said Mrs. Davis as she fluffed Caden's pillows. Becca was cuddled up right next to him.
"A broken rib! And Alyson's covered it stitches. This was not a very intelligent thing to do." Said Mrs. Davis.
"They were going to sell me." Said Becca quietly.
"Where's Destiny? I have to talk to her." Said Caden.
"Why?" Asked both Alyson and Kevin.
"Because she knows Fletcher."
"I'm amazed that you know Fletcher." Said Mrs. Davis.
"I didn't mean to get mixed up with them." Said Caden, closing his eyes. Alyson sat up in her bed.
"I believe you." Said Kevin. Caden smiled, "Thanks, Kev."
Alyson pulled the covers away and jumped off the hospital bed.
"Hey, you get back up there." Ordered Mrs. Davis.
"I have to stretch my legs."
"You might just stretch those stitches a little too far. So what's this about Destiny?"
"She knows Fletcher!"
"Hey, people!" Exclaimed Destiny, walking in with balloons in one hand, and her son in the other.
"Look what we've brought." Said Mr. Davis. He tossed a teddy bear to Becca.
"It's very pretty." Said Becca, hugging the toy.
"So you like it?" Asked Mr. Davis, smiling. Becca nodded.
"Destiny, how do you know Fletcher?" Demanded Caden.
"It's a long story." Said Destiny, placing the balloons on the end table.
"Well, lucky for you, Alyson and I can't go anywhere."
"Alright then, I'll tell you." Said Destiny.

NOW, WHAT YOU'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR
"I wasn't uh, the best behaved child. I kinda ran with the wrong crew. Anyways, my boyfriend, Jason, got all tied up with some serious crimes. He started working for Fletcher. Jason ran into some huge problems, so he made some kind of bet with Fletcher that if Fletcher didn't get the money owed, then I'd be given to him."
"That's barbaric!" Said Mr. Davis.
"That's horrible!" Said Mrs. Davis.
"I could never do that!" Said Caden, glancing over at Alyson.
"Yeah, well, Jason was drunk alot. People do things they don't mean to do. Jason never got the money to Fletcher, so I was in trouble. When Jason realized what he'd done, he worked hard to get the money so i could leave, but, when Jason took the money to Fletcher, Fletcher laughed and shot Jason. He died. I was able to run away after many months. It was scary. I didn't say anything about it because I was afraid that I'd get in trouble too. I was rioght there beside Jason, selling drugs and all that. I should have done something."
"You can't blame yourself." Said Mrs. Davis comfortingly.
"It's late, and I'm sure these two are exausted." Said Destiny.
"Yeah, we should be leaving." Said Mr. Davis, hugging Alyson.
"See you tomorrow, guys." Said Alyson. As the others left, Caden called, "Hey Destiny?"
"Yeah?"
"Sorry for thinking the worst of you."
"It's okay." Said Destiny as she shut the door.
"Know what? I've never ever had anything as crazy as these past months happen to me until I met you." Said Alyson, sitting on Caden's bed.
"Sorry."
"For what? These past months have been the most memorable in my life."
"Even if Kim's not your friend anymore?"
"Well, yeah." Said Alyson slowly.
"You should talk to her you know?"
"She didn't like you and didn't want me to get mixed up with you."
"And look what's happened now." Said Caden.
"I know. I met the perfect guy."
"Huh?"
"Yeah!"
"Well, I am the most perfect man walking." Bragged Caden.
"Uh!"
"I'm just kidding." Laughed Caden. Alyson smiled. She was nervous because she had to say something.
"I love you, Caden."
"I love you too, Aly." Said Caden sincerely. Through the white blinds, the sunset showed thruogh the window, basking the couple in it's brilliant shades of orange while they kissed.
