The ideal of quality of an uncountable noun is shown by a word or expression, for example:

Some 一些; a little 很少; a lot of 很多; much 很多; any 任何.

Examples:

      some fruit一些水果, a lot of water 很多水, a little homework 很少功課

 

Countable nouns can also be used with certain expressions of quantity, for example:

Several 幾個; many 很多; a lot of 很多; a few 很少; some 一些; any 任何.

Examples:

      a few pears 幾個梨子,  many exercises 許多練習, some bananas 一些香蕉.
