This RF Power Amp Mod shown here  is to convert a 110 Watt VHF Motorola Micor Mobile to produce 100% duty cycle RF output of 10-15 Watts.

The Last 6 RF Transistors were removed from the RF Circuit Board by Cutting the PC-Board apart with a Hack Saw at location shown in the Picture.

Then we picked up the 15 Watts of RF from the Driver to the RF output with a small piece of RG-174 Coax.

I have Several VHF Repeaters running with this RF-PA mod and all have had No problems running Continuous Duty.

DC-Amps used for the Repeater Transmit is less than 4 Amps.  Making it Ideal for Solar Power Repeaters or small DC Power supplies like the Astron RS-12!

With this Mod you will not need any cooling fans because the RF-PA Heat sink is plenty sufficient for the 15 watts of RF Power.

You can also remove the Power Adjust Circuit board from the radio. You will run the remaining RF section at Max Output = 15 Watts.
