1.something late in the month.05- so, recording wise: the new album is shaping up to sound something like god lives underwater and folk implosion. Rehearsals are going smooth for live performance. Also, the album may be touched by a few more people than anticipated. You know Jay and I are tediously working away, but I want to include everyone on the live band so that that flavor is incorporated as well, meaning some live drums by Steven Scotch and live bass by David Gale. Also, Jon Carvajal, a former guitarist of mine from Annihilate Everything You Can't Have, is coming back to the area, so i am hoping that i can get his stupendous efforts into not only guitar playing, but some production stuff as well, as we have worked on various electronic projects in the past together, and we always seem to come up with a delightful taste. TTFN.

1.18.05- first rehearsal for the new live project tomorrow. I have no idea where the kdy album is heading. it's taking an interesting turn. Only a few days into recording, and already it's shaping up to be quite different than was planned. but that always happens. I'm nervous though. trent reznor once said that "it's impossible to record a great album without losing friends". lets hope that this is the exception to that rule, because my friends are my collaborators. I should update the rest of this site. like the pics page. there is only one photo, and it's 2 years old. And now that Jay is a part of this, I should really put more up. word to the drumbeat.

1.15.05- ok, new news, well, I have asked Jay Thompson to be the second half of theKDY at least on this album. I am thoroughly pleased with the way things are going, and i think great things could come out of this collaboration. Also, the live band? What happened to the KDY shows? well, the live incarnation fell apart. So, I have recruited from the ashes Steven Scotch for drums, David Gale for Bass and Back Vox, and potentially Jay Thompson on the electronic end of things to form a new project, seperate from kdy.

1.13.05- recording for the new album began yesterday. it's a slow start. I'm working with Jay Thompson of Quantum Design. He (if you weren't already aware) is a drum and bass aficianado, well, kinda like trance with bite really. He is working sample loops and electro beat patterns, creating sounds and whatnot while i lay down all of the basic tracks for the songs, and then we shall meld.  We layed down some basic synth and percussion for "Burning Buddy"( which is reminiscent of the original version of "Home Is", the same rainy day suicide feel), but chances are, the finished product will sound totally different, as they usually do. i'm really excited to have FINALLY started this. You won't be disappointed.

1.11?.05- i'm setting up recording shit now for the new album.

1.8.05- Title of online exclusive free collection: "theKDY: the whisper tapes"
due to some left over hiss. coming excruciatingly soon.

1.6.05- I'm prepping those d&b demos. trying to clean 'em up a bit. there's a lot of hiss on em. once most of that is gone, i'll do a free online exclusive e.p. of them. Some of it is kinda weak, and none of it sounds like the upcoming releases, although it is slightly reminiscent of somewhere inbetween "closed eyes" and "theKDY". hey, know any cute single chicks that'll let me unwittingly fuck up thier life? seems to be my way.

1.4.05- well it's the new year. my apologies for all the delays and changes in the new material releases. It's gonna happen. it's happening now. just slowly. I have alot, well, going on right now. It'll happen though, I promise.
Actually though, over this site, or somewhere else, I may release a few d&b-ish demo tracks of mine i've recently rediscovered, to keep you all occupied. who knows when that'll happen though.
How was your new years eve? I got accosted by a drunken junk-fondling bar skank. oi. i hate women. i hate everybody. fuck you all.
