Chapter History
Two friends were inspired to be part of an organization dedicated to servitude for their university.  When one was not found, they embarked on a mission to establish an entity that would serve not only their university but their community and cultural relatives as well.  These two friends, now sisters, Desiree F. Flores and Bethany A. Romero have transformed an idea into a reality.

After a worthwhile two and a half year period, on October 18, 2003, we were pinned as an official colony of Kappa Delta Chi.  The colony members, known as the Tenacious Ten, consisted of: Kate R. Edelman, Desiree F. Flores, Crystal J. Garcia, Erica Gonzalez, Maria V. Jaramillo, Terri E. Limon, Erica Longoria, Bethany A. Romero, Michelle N. Salazar, and Terrie Vasquez.

The group endured an eight week new membership process.  During this time, unforeseen circumstances arose, resulting in a final colony of five charter members.  The five, Kate R. Edelman, Desiree F. Flores, Maria V. Jaramillo, Bethany A. Romero, and Michelle N. Salazar were inducted on December 20, 2003 as the official Alpha-Delta chapter of Kappa Delta Chi at Texas A&M University-Kingsville.
