Hi there!

Sorry about the delay in this week's diary entry (if you've been keeping up, you'll notice that I have actually been doing an entry every week for about a month). I couldn't think of anything interesting to write about. Then I remembered that, for the past couple of entries, I hadn't really told you what we've been up to. So I thought I would go ahead and use this entry as an update.

As I mentioned in an earlier entry, during February Kylan and I went to three NBA games up in Cleveland, compliments of a member of the credit union. Well, the last of these games was the Cleveland Cavaliers verses the Toronto Raptors. I was so excited about the game! I hadn't been to a Raptors game since their first season and they don't televise many of their games down here. I was even able to find my "Power to Devour" Raptors t-shirt to wear. We had lots of fun at that game...I didn't care one bit that I was the only person in our entire section cheering for the Raptors. I was loud and proud! Of course, it was just my luck that they ended up losing. Still, a good time was had by all.

In other news, many of you know that we've been considering trading in the SUV for a more reliable vehicle. Well, it looks like we may put that on hold for the moment. For one thing, Kylan finally got around to getting the tires replaced. (Yes, we had those recalled Firestones and the time was almost up for getting them replaced for free.) But the other reason has to do with the fact that there may not be as much wrong with the truck as we first thought. Kylan has to take it in to get it checked, but if it's as (relatively) minor as a car guy suggested to us it may be, we might just get it fixed and keep it around for another year or so.

On the home front, our renovating/redecorating is still underway. The attic floor is still not finished but it does have a couple of coats of polyurethane on it already. Also, I've been stripping paint off of the upstairs window frames to reveal the gorgeous natural oak underneath. Kylan is setting up the basement a bit, as well. He managed to move our other computer down there and the old stereo, so now he's got a place to play his games. And we did the homeowner thing last weekend...we went to our first home and garden show. We got a few good ideas and Kylan got a piece of memorabilia for his bar. It's a wooden football, carved from an old bowling pin, polished up and engraved with the Steeler's emblem (of course!) and the dates of their Super Bowl wins. It looks amazing.
