The Death of Pain

Fire burning brightly
Alone she does dance
Face filled with tortured satisfaction
Eyes of black glass,
She's in some tormented trance.

Lapping flames
Seemingly caress her cheek
Igniting the darkness
Her eyes wandering
What is it they do seek?

Laughing she does
A deep wicked growl.
Licking her lips,
Tilting her head,
She slowly begins to howl.

The taste of blood
Oh so sweet
She smirks at her victim,
All he saw before death
Was his own grim defeat.

A pleasant thought no less
For in it she finds relief
She took his life
The fear in his eyes
Was beyond his own belief

No longer could he run.
He knew his own death
Was drawing near
Attacking wildly
She took his last breath.

Drinking his blood
Engulfing his soul
All is now hers.
The feeling is good,
For now she is whole.

His energy
Coursing through her veins
Intoxicating her mind
With each drop she drinks
More of him she gains.

No more hurt
No more pain
He has finally gone
She smiles in contentment
As it starts to rain.

Did she go too far?
Did she take it to the extreme?
No, she will finally sleep,
From now on, no more nightmares.
From now on, only a pleasant dream.

Cool drops hitting her face
Blood washing away
Smiling one last time
To the corpse she's leaving behind
Before into the night she will stray.
