Hi there all!!! Kim here (or there or where ever) and I just wanted to let you know a little bit about myself:
Well, first and for most I am an activist of sorts. I have strong feelings that everyone should be treated equally no matter what his/her race, gender, religion, or any other orientation. We all deserve to be treated kindly and respectfully, and when it comes down to it, we're all just plain, flawed human beings.
Now to be less philosophical... I love to read anything I can get me hands on and write (generally poetry) when ever the mood hits me. I'm also an old movie fanatic and can spend hours watching movies form the 30s and 40s. But then again you can catch me watching old 80s cartoons the same day I'm reading Shakespeare or watching Gone With the Wind. I especially love the Smurfs (my family still has a tendancy to call me Smurfette), Care Bears, Rainbow Brite, and, well more than I have time (or the space) to write them all down. Like it says at the top my birthday is Feb. 15, 1982. I'm every bit the Aquarius.
I have almost finished my time at Longwood University and I am more than ready for graduation on May 14, 2005. I'm a Liberal Studies major and working on my licensure for Elementary & Middle School education (with a concentration in Math and Social Studies in MS) as well as a SPED minor. I am a member of both Kappa Delta Pi (an international honor society in education) and Phi Kappa Phi (an interdisciplinary national honor society). I just have one semester on campus left before I student teach in the Spring. Wish me luck!
