Lesson Six
Fluxweed
Isanthus brachiatus
Fluxweed is a member of the mint family, Lamiaceae and is also known as 'False Pennyroyal'. It grows 6-20" in height with blue flowers that are about 1/4" long. This plant is an annual, so population numbers can vary considerably from year to year.
Generally flowering between July and September, Fluxweed, if picked at Full moon, can be used in the Polyjuice potion. "Flux" means 'constant change or flow', hence the reason Fluxweed is used in this particular potion.
