(MBC) The Courageous Girl (2003)
During a winter storm, a woman pregnant woman passes out on the street. Luckily, someone is there to aid her. He takes her home to help her. By coincidence, his wife is also pregnant. As if both being pregnant was not a coincident enough, both ladies give birth on the same day and to girls. Unluckily the woman the man brought home dies leaving this family with a newborn baby girl and loads of money in her luggage. What do the man and wife do? They decide to raise the girl as their own...a twin to their blood daughter. Lee Eun-hee (Bae Doo-na) lives in a household she thinks is family. Through difficult times and blunders, Eun-hee sacrifices many things for her older "twin" sister Keum-hee (Kim Yoo-mi). She even gives up the man she likes. One day Eun-hee's real grandfather (CEO of a company) appears. He wants to take back his granddaughter that he has been looking for. Surprisingly for her own child's well-being, the mother sends her own daughter to the chairman's house. This sudden twist of faith leaves Eun-hee thinking that she is her mom's real daughter. Yun-hee seems sad yet happy...probably because she will be part of a very wealthy family. This is the story of a courageous, spunky girl as she goes through lifes struggles. |
