| ***THE RED HEART*** | ||||||||
| THE RED HEART Sometimes I feel like I am the last of the red hearts in my line. I wonder if the next generations will have the red heart. I dont believe this is something that can be taught or learned, it either is, or it isnt within the individual. Now it can be magnified and grown, but the seed must exist within the heart to begin with. This seed awakens when you read about the Indians before us, and it thrives as you picture in your minds eye those Indians, as they used to be, when they traveled these many areas of this nation. This seed grows when you nurture the inner heart of love for Gods creation. In His awesome creation the seed blossomsforming the red heart in its fullness. The red heart grieves, and wilts, in the shadows of callousness toward the red children that too many have in their darkened hearts. I sing in spirit, in the voice of those who were not heathens, but were believers from the beginning. They worshipped the Creator from the dawn of time; they saw the Great Spirit creating when morning stars sang. Do you have the red heart? Do you even care? The Spirit of God calls us to awaken from our sleep, to put aside the callous hearts, and let the light shine on that glorious seed within. God made a beautiful people. Made them simple but true. He put a kindness and truth in their trusting souls, they were real, without hidden agendassimply wishing to live and love as they always had. Creator allowed them to be tried and tested scorned mocked and mistreatedmuch like another chosen race of the Creatorsmaybe it was also a test for the abusers, to see if they had any mercy or kindness for those who suffered. The red hearts kept their honor, the abusersCreator will sort that out at the proper time. Red Hearts are still with uswake up Red Hearts! It is time to show your hearts to the world. Will you hear the call? Young Eagle Karlton Douglas |
