"Klaudia sings ballads, weaving her knowledge of art song and classical music with her own memories. Thats because mezzosoprano Klaudia Delmer has very many images locked in her soul and her mind , and, these the images she relied upon to record her latest CD with the strange title AINOLA. ..... I am watching her as she sits against me, Acropolis can be seen in the background; She is a young, enchanting woman of a Mediterranean beauty with her white skin and light eyes strongly reminding of her Northern European descent. And her voice! - I bring to mind the moment I first heard her CD; It's melodies - intimate confessions- travelling me from the melancholic mood of Polish winter to the relentless sunshine of the Mediterranean. .... AINOLA is not a melancholic song , instead it is the crossroad where sentiment meets the force of life. "
Cosmas Vidos VOGUE, Sept. 2001

"Reading the lyrics of AINOLA -this jewel of a song that bears the name of Klaudia Delmer's first solo album, produced in Greece by LYRA - we were given, in a way, the same sentiment Orson Welles magically produce in the legendary sequence of "Citizen Cane", where the word Rosebud marked the end of his hero. The swiss sledge was not only a fetish: it was a multifacided reading, a flashback of an unpredictable life, a journey to an obvious destination through undefinable borders. AINOLA is an introduction (of Klaudia) undoubtedly exceptional ... Every moment of AINOLA is distinctive. All eleven themes (9 by Vangelis Fampas and two by Nikos Xidakis) are finely laboured and exceptionally adapted to the incredible vocal range of Delmer, while she , herself, demonstrates to equally take advantage of the knowledge and passion she posesses to interpret with finesse, quality and nobility. ... This is an alboum of refined aesthetics, beautifully crafted in every stage of its preparation (course)."
Fondas Trousas Jazz&Jazz magazine August-September 2001

"AINOLA is one of the 5 best albums of this summer (internationally) and should not be missing from anybody's collection. "
NITRO magazine, July 2001

LYRA press release of the CD:
"Klaudia Delmer AINOLA ML 0711 Listening to her for the first time, one is captivated by her voice; trained yet immediate, ethereal still earthly, Klaudia’s voice freely travels the listener across an imaginary Mediterranean. Seeing Klaudia, one is equally captivated by her persona, an amalgam of all the origins she carries; popular singer and mezzo soprano, born in Warsaw, grew up in Spain, finished school there, moved on to the US studying classical song, and then to Greece. Each component of her origins and upbringings left a musical mark on her. Classical song co-exists with the traditional music of the countries she lived and comes from, as well with flamenco, rebetico and other genres of popular and traditional Greek music, next to Latin American music, ballads and rock. All such marks are embodied by her first solo album released in the MUSURGIA GRAECA series of LYRA. Compositions with strong influences from all those cultures, yet difficult to categorize in one genre or the another are included in her album; ballads in rythmes of the Mediterranean with lyrics in three languages (Spanish, Greek, Italian). Acclaimed Greek classical guitarist and composer Vangelis Fampas has written the music to 9 out of the 11 songs of the album. The other two belong to no other than Nikos Xydakis, possibly the most prolific contemporary Greek composer. One of Xydakis’ song is written on the poetry of celebrated Spanish poet Antonio Gala. The other song of Xydakis is one of his most beautiful songs this time with Italian lyrics written by Klaudia herself. Indeed this song titled “Gioco d’ Ombre” is no other than Xydakis “Erotico”. Fampas’ 9 songs include lyrics in Spanish by Antonio Gala, in Greek by celebrated Greek lyricist Michalis Bourboulis and in Italian by Klaudia Delmer. The interchange of cultures is not limited to the lyrics, as Klaudia sings Fampas’ “De Cordoba a Granada” on the poetry of Antonio Gala with renown flamenco singer Rafael Jimenez, and in another duet with the Greek gypsy legend Vasilis Paiteris. As the title song of the AINOLA suggests, the album is an imaginary space of the heart, a place that one dreams of and finds refuge at. Ultimately, it is a space of possibilities taking shape through music; Klaudia is merely navigating. "
