Saturday we got there at 10:15 and sat for 30 minutes while there was no one there.Shawn got there after a while and told me if I wanted to go practice just to gear up and park at the entrance.Much to my suprise they were running the track backwards.I actualy like this way alot, I think Im more competitive on a track no one knows very well.My first practice went well, and althought I was trying to take it easy being the only one out there made it fun to go fast.Latter when people got there I was doing much better and other people were still yet to warm up.I went out and rode fast and mannaged to pass Ron.I went in and asked him what he had broken and he replied that nothing had gone wrong yet.I had several practices and then went home to a cold shower.Later that night I went contra dancing to see a friend and wore myself out horribly.After another cold shower I went to bed at about midnight.
Sunday we got there early as well and I got sever practice times and was realy on.I was also leaning very far down.Further than anyone else cuz I dont drag my knee.Coming around what is normaly turn two both tires washed and threw me over the bars.I had to hurry off the track to keep from being run over.During the heat I got a great start and and jumped up to 4h( but one guy doesnt qoint) very quickley, and stayed there.I was right behind Ron West the whole race inching further away, but then catching up on the straight thanks to less gravitational pull.;P On the heat I got an exelent start and jumped to third( but one doesnt count)this time in front of Ron.I was able to stay in front of Ron till just after the half way flag and he passed me.I worked realy hard to pass him back and before I knew it it was the last lap.I worked up to him and decided I had to pass him.I cought up the whole lap and on the last corner tryed to pass.He was ready for it and stuffed me.I kept it out of the grass and finished 4th again.3rd for points.The realy cool thing is that we were going pretty fast!We had worked up pretty close to a guy on a 150 cheater bike.We went into the pits and I popped a weelie for the fans who were all watching Ron and Is battle.I talked to a friend in the stand and she told me we were the only ecitment.As it turns out the other racers hab been watching to.The one thing I realy dont want to leave thunder bikes to ysrs for is the races between Ron.It would feel realy good to finish in front of this master of the motorcycle.And maybe Pual someday too.Maybe If they would run ysrs and thunders at a different time I could run both....
Overall my best weekend of racing yet.And I cant wait till we have tons of compitition for the invitation in two weeks!I also have three pics from this race that I will put up as soon as I get them scanned.
